The JOHN WESLEY was built in 1872 by Bailey Brothers at Toledo, OH U.S. The John Wesley is a wood hulled schooner with a length of 135 feet, and a width of 26 feet. It displaces 302 tons, and has a load capacity of 287 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Stranded at Sand Beach, MI, Lake Huron, on September 7, 1901, and became total loss.
