Description: The YALE was built in 1895 by Cleveland Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Yale is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 371 feet, and a width of 45 feet. It displaces 3453 tons, and has a load capacity of 2698 tons. It entered service in the year 1895 under the ownership of Yale Transit Co. (R.R. Rhodes, Mgr.) of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Believed scrapped, possibly in New Orleans, LA, in about 1947.
