Description: The WILFRED SYKES was built in 1949 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The Wilfred Sykes is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 661 feet, and a width of 70 feet. It displaces 12729 tons, and has a load capacity of 7875 tons. It entered service in the year 1949 under the ownership of Inland Steel Co.
