Description: The HOWARD M. HANNA JR. was built in 1908 by American Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Howard M. Hanna Jr. is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 480 feet, and a width of 54 feet. It displaces 5905 tons, and has a load capacity of 4413 tons. It entered service in the year 1908 under the ownership of Hanna Transit Co. (W.C. Richardson, Mgr.) of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Arrived at the Western Metals dock in Thunder Bay, Ont., on June 3, 1983 in tow to the tug IVAN PURVIS, for scrapping.
