The WACCAMAW was built in 1900 by Craig Shipbuilding Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The Waccamaw is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 249 feet, and a width of 40 feet. It displaces 1359 tons, and has a load capacity of 920 tons. It entered service in the year 1900 under the ownership of Atlantic Steamship Co. (J.L. Crosthwaite, Mgr.) of New York, NY U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Dismantled in 1946 at Sorel, P.Q. The photograph shows the Waccamaw under way on the Great Lakes.
