Description: The E.C. DEMPSEY was built in 1910 by American Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The E.C. Dempsey is a steel hulled tug with a length of 77 feet, and a width of 20 feet. It displaces 87 tons, and has a load capacity of 38 tons. It entered service in the year 1910 under the ownership of Kelley Island Lime & Transportation Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The photograph shows the E.C. Dempsey under way on the Great Lakes.
