The NORTHERN QUEEN was built in 1889 by Globe Iron Works at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Northern Queen is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 299 feet, and a width of 40 feet. It displaces 2476 tons, and has a load capacity of 1885 tons. It entered service in the year 1889 under the ownership of Northern Steamship Co. of Duluth, MN U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sold to Italian shipbreakers in December, 1924.
