The SOCONY 111 was built in 1927 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The Socony 111 is a steel hulled barge with a length of 251 feet, and a width of 40 feet. It displaces 1145 tons, and has a load capacity of 1145 tons. It entered service in the year 1927 under the ownership of Standard Transportation Co. of New York, NY U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Removed from documentation in 1947 as "Exempt."
