The LAKE CHARLOTTE was built in 1918 by Great Lakes Engineering Works at Ashtabula, OH U.S. The Lake Charlotte is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 253 feet, and a width of 43 feet. It displaces 2239 tons, and has a load capacity of 1341 tons. It entered service in the year 1918 under the ownership of U.S. Shipping Board of New York, NY U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Scrapped by Ford Motor Co., Detroit, MI, at River Rouge, MI, in 1928. The photograph shows the Lake Charlotte under way on the Great Lakes.
