The LACKAWANNA was built in 1888 by Cleveland Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Lackawanna is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 260 feet, and a width of 39 feet. It displaces 2015 tons, and has a load capacity of 1595 tons. It entered service in the year 1888 under the ownership of Lackawanna Transportation Co. (J.J. McWilliams, Mgr.) of Buffalo, NY U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Scrapped in 1929. Vessel removed from documentation in 1929 as abandoned.
