The CITY OF TOLEDO was built in 1891 by Craig Ship Building Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The City Of Toledo is a steel hulled steamer with a length of 212 feet, and a width of 31 feet. It displaces 1003 tons, and has a load capacity of 654 tons. It entered service in the year 1891 under the ownership of Toledo & Islands Steamship Co. of Toledo, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: After lying idle from 1941, passed down, Port Colborne, October 19, 1947, in tow of tugs THISTLE and HELENA, bound for Hamilton, Ontario.
