The LAKE FRANCES was built in 1918 by Toledo Shipbuilding Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The Lake Frances is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 252 feet, and a width of 43 feet. It displaces 2016 tons, and has a load capacity of 1193 tons. It entered service in the year 1918 under the ownership of U.S. Shipping Board of Washington, DC U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Believed scrapped in Europe in 1954.
