Description: The PARANA was built in 1862 by Quayle & Martin at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Parana is a wood hulled bark with 3 masts, a length of 153 feet, and a width of 31 feet. It displaces 558 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Final enrollment surrendered at Chicago, IL, March 21, 1904, and endorsed "abandoned." Hull dismantled and scuttled in Lake Michigan off Chicago, in spring, 1904. The photograph shows the Parana at Milwaukee, WI. More information about this vessel is available at the HCGL Website
