Description: The THEODORE ROOSEVELT was built in 1906 by Toledo Shipbuilding Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The Theodore Roosevelt is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 275 feet, and a width of 40 feet. It displaces 1955 tons, and has a load capacity of 1330 tons. It entered service in the year 1906 under the ownership of Indiana Transportation Co. of Chicago, IL U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sold to Cream City Lumber and Wrecking Co., Milwaukee, WI. Towed there from St. Joseph, MI by tug WELCOME, on May 21, 1950 for scrapping at Jones Island. The photograph shows the Theodore Roosevelt under way on the Great Lakes.
