The JOHN SHERWIN was built in 1958 by American Ship Building Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The John Sherwin is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 690 feet, and a width of 75 feet. It displaces 14144 tons, and has a load capacity of 10555 tons. It entered service in the year 1958 under the ownership of Interlake Steamship Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The photograph shows the John Sherwin under way on the Great Lakes.
