Description: The MARQUETTE AND BESSEMER NO. 2 was built in 1905 by American Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Marquette And Bessemer No. 2 is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 338 feet, and a width of 54 feet. It displaces 2514 tons, and has a load capacity of 1484 tons. It entered service in the year 1905 under the ownership of Marquette and Bessemer Dock & Navigation Co. of Conneaut, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Foundered on voyage, Port Dover, Ontario for Conneaut, OH, Lake Erie, on December 7, 1909; all hands (32 lives) lost.
