The HAROLD B. NYE was built in 1902 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The Harold B. Nye is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 380 feet, and a width of 50 feet. It displaces 4310 tons, and has a load capacity of 3365 tons. It entered service in the year 1902 under the ownership of Keller Transit Co. (H.A. Hawgood & Co., Mgrs.) of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Arrived in tow at Bremerhaven, Germany on July 17, 1964, for scrapping by Eisen und Metall, A.G.
