Description: The PARKS FOSTER was built in 1889 by Globe Iron Works at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Parks Foster is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 262 feet, and a width of 39 feet. It displaces 1729 tons, and has a load capacity of 1475 tons. It entered service in the year 1889 under the ownership of Owen Line (W.R. Owen) of Chicago, IL U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sold to Newman Structural Steel, Ltd., St. Catharines, Ont., in 1960, and scrapped at Port Weller, Ont., in 1961.
