The MAINE was built in 1862 by Stevens & Presley at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Maine is a wood hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 135 feet, and a width of 25 feet. It displaces 293 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Burned to a total loss at Marine City, MI, on July 16, 1911. The photograph shows the Maine under way on the Great Lakes.
