Description: The WILLIAM H. TRUESDALE was built in 1908 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The William H. Truesdale is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 432 feet, and a width of 52 feet. It displaces 5057 tons, and has a load capacity of 3764 tons. It entered service in the year 1908 under the ownership of Empire Steamship Co. (Brown & Co., Mgrs.) of Buffalo, NY U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sold, through Marine Salvage, Ltd., Port Colborne, Ont., to Italian shipbreakers. Arrived under tow, in tandem with J.J.H. BROWN, at Genoa, Italy, July 19, 1965, for scrapping. The photograph shows the William H. Truesdale under way on the Great Lakes.
