Historical Collections of the Great Lakes: Vessel Images

The HCGL projects are an attempt to take existing data sources and reformat them for online access. The HCGL has a collection of vessel data sheets created over the past thirty years and an outstanding collection of Great Lakes vessels. This image database is the end product of combining these two data formats into an online tool for researchers. These projects received funding from the National Maritime Heritage Grants Program of the National Park Service and the Coastal Zone Management Act, administered by the Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration through the Ohio Coastal Management Program, administered by the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Real Estate and Land Management.
