Description: The NO. 004 was built in 1896 by Craig Ship Building Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The No. 004 is a wood hulled car ferry barge with a length of 306 feet, and a width of 46 feet. It displaces 1581 tons, and has a load capacity of 1581 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: In tow of tug S.M. FISCHER, along with barge NO. 3, foundered off Long Point, Ontario, Lake Erie, on night of November 12-13, 1900; no lives lost. Carried deck cargo of pulpwood.
