dc.description The WELLSTON was built in 1928 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The Wellston is a steel hulled barge with a length of 116 feet, and a width of 40 feet. It displaces 323 tons, and has a load capacity of 323 tons. It entered service in the year 1928 under the ownership of L.A. Wells Construction Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The photograph shows the Wellston at Cleveland, OH; Stadium Boat Works.
