dc.description The GEORGE R. PAIGE was built in 1882 by William R. Radcliffe at Cleveland, OH U.S. The George R. Paige is a wood hulled tug with a length of 68 feet, and a width of 15 feet. It displaces 34 tons, and has a load capacity of 17 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Final enrollment surrendered at Cleveland, OH, on March 7, 1905, and endorsed "abandoned." Hull reportedly scuttled in Lake Erie. The photograph shows the George R. Paige under way on the Great Lakes.
