Description: The ATLANTA was built in 1891 by Cleveland Dry Dock Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Atlanta is a wood hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 200 feet, and a width of 32 feet. It displaces 1129 tons, and has a load capacity of 958 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Burned near Sheboygan, WI, Lake Michigan, on March 16, 1906, to a total loss. Hull sold to Martin Dredging Co. on May 15, 1906, then to Delos Smith on November 28, 1906. The photograph shows the Atlanta under way on the Great Lakes.
