The C.W. WATSON was built in 1902 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The C.W. Watson is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 380 feet, and a width of 50 feet. It displaces 4306 tons, and has a load capacity of 3364 tons. It entered service in the year 1902 under the ownership of Gilchrist Transportation Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Scrapped by A. Newman & Co. at Buffalo, NY, in 1956. The photograph shows the C.W. Watson under way on the Great Lakes.
