The ANN ARBOR NO. 4 was built in 1906 by American Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Ann Arbor No. 4 is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 259 feet, and a width of 52 feet. It displaces 1884 tons, and has a load capacity of 1082 tons. It entered service in the year 1906 under the ownership of Ann Arbor Railroad Co. of Frankfort, MI U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Passed down, Detroit, September 28, 1973, in tow of tugs JOHN PURVES and BARBARA ANN, for Welland Canal. Picked up by tug JAMES BATTLE; passed east at Grondines, October 6, 1973, for Quebec. The photograph shows the Ann Arbor No. 4 at Frankfort, MI.
