Description: The WILLIAM K. FIELD was built in 1924 by Toledo Ship Building Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The William K. Field is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 588 feet, and a width of 60 feet. It displaces 8195 tons, and has a load capacity of 6369 tons. It entered service in the year 1924 under the ownership of Reiss Steamship Co. of Sheboygan, WI U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Delivered at Goderich, Ontario, June 14, 1985, for scrapping by Shearmet Recycling, at Thunder Bay, Ontario.
