Description: The MARTIN MULLEN was built in 1904 by American Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Martin Mullen is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 416 feet, and a width of 50 feet. It displaces 4635 tons, and has a load capacity of 3471 tons. It entered service in the year 1904 under the ownership of Lakewood Steamship Co. (Hutchinson & Co., Mgrs.) of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sunk during fog, June 20, 1953, by Canadian steamer BURLINGTON, off Trowbridge Island, fifteen miles from Fort William, Ontario, Lake Superior; one life lost.
