Description: The FRANK H. GOODYEAR was built in 1902 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The Frank H. Goodyear is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 416 feet, and a width of 50 feet. It displaces 4815 tons, and has a load capacity of 3438 tons. It entered service in the year 1902 under the ownership of Buffalo Steamship Co. (John Mitchell, Mgr.) of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sunk by collision with steamer JAMES B. WOOD off Point Aux Barques, Lake Huron, on May 23, 1910; 17 of 22 men lost. Was bound down from Duluth for Cleveland with iron ore. The photograph shows the Frank H.
