dc.description The J.R. SPRANKLE was built in 1894 by Globe Iron Works at Cleveland, OH U.S. The J.R. Sprankle is a steel hulled tug with a length of 58 feet, and a width of 16 feet. It displaces 44 tons, and has a load capacity of 23 tons. It entered service in the year 1894 under the ownership of L.P. Smith of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Out of documentation sometime between 1982-1988. The photograph shows the J.R.
