The MATTHEW ANDREWS was built in 1907 by American Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Matthew Andrews is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 532 feet, and a width of 56 feet. It displaces 7014 tons, and has a load capacity of 5497 tons. It entered service in the year 1907 under the ownership of Kinsman (Marine) Transit Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Taken to Ashtabula, OH, for scrapping in 1978.
