The JOHN J. ALBRIGHT was built in 1900 by American Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The John J. Albright is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 416 feet, and a width of 50 feet. It displaces 4805 tons, and has a load capacity of 3298 tons. It entered service in the year 1900 under the ownership of Cleveland Steamship Company of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Passed downbound, Welland Canal, under own power, December 2, 1964, with coal for Toronto, Ontario and then to Hamilton, Ontario, for scrapping by Steel Co. of Canada, Ltd.
