The R.H. BECKER was built in 1867 by J.A. Johnson at Dover Bay (Avon), OH U.S. The R.H. Becker is a wood hulled scow schooner with 2 masts, a length of 108 feet, and a width of 23 feet. It displaces 140 tons, and has a load capacity of 133 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Became waterlogged and capsized off Sheboygan, WI, while waiting weather to enter port on May 7, 1908; crew of three rescued by U.S. Life Saving Service. Vessel was bound from Thompson, MI, for Sheboygan with lumber. Tug REISS towed overturned hulk into harbor, but she was a total loss. The photograph shows the R.H.
