The TRANSFER was built in 1888 by Cleveland Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Transfer is a steel hulled steamer with a length of 265 feet, and a width of 75 feet. It displaces 1511 tons, and has a load capacity of 1060 tons. It entered service in the year 1889 under the ownership of Michigan Central Railroad Co. of Detroit, MI U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Scrapped at Hamilton, Ontario, in 1940.
