Description: The B.F. BERRY was built in 1908 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The B.F. Berry is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 480 feet, and a width of 52 feet. It displaces 6188 tons, and has a load capacity of 4775 tons. It entered service in the year 1908 under the ownership of Fremont Steamship Co. (Herbert K. Oakes, Mgr.) of Detroit, MI U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sold to Marine Salvage, Ltd., Port Colborne, Ont., in August, 1968. Resold to Desguaces y Recuperaciones del Sur "Emiliano Alonse Castrillo," for scrapping in Spain. Arrived under tow and demolition began at Puerto del Santa Maria, Spain, on August 29, 1969.
