Description: The DAN HAYES was built in 1868 by R. Hayes at Fairport, OH U.S. The Dan Hayes is a wood hulled scow schooner with 3 masts, a length of 112 feet, and a width of 24 feet. It displaces 145 tons, and has a load capacity of 138 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Final enrollment surrendered at Milaukee, WI, on June 13, 1900, and endorsed "vessel dismantled."
