dc.description The CHARLES HEIDEN was built in 1913 by Great Lakes Engineering Works at Ashtabula, OH U.S. The Charles Heiden is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 151 feet, and a width of 35 feet. It displaces 717 tons, and has a load capacity of 446 tons. It entered service in the year 1913 under the ownership of United Fuel and Supply Co. of Detroit, MI U.S. The photograph shows the Charles Heiden at Ecorse, MI.
