The W.D. REES was built in 1896 by Cleveland Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The W.D. Rees is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 396 feet, and a width of 45 feet. It displaces 3760 tons, and has a load capacity of 2992 tons. It entered service in the year 1896 under the ownership of Wilson Transit Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Scrapped at Lackawanna, NY, in 1955.
