The RESEARCHER was built in 1970 by American Ship Building Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The Researcher is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 245 feet, and a width of 51 feet. It entered service in the year 1970 under the ownership of U.S. Commerce Dept. (Coast & Geodetic Service) of Washington, DC U.S. The photograph shows the Researcher under way on the Great Lakes.
