The FRANCIS WIDLAR was built in 1904 by American Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Francis Widlar is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 416 feet, and a width of 50 feet. It displaces 4682 tons, and has a load capacity of 3368 tons. It entered service in the year 1904 under the ownership of Columbia Steamship Co. (William H. Becker, Mgr.) of Cleveland, OH U.S. The photograph shows the Francis Widlar under way on the Great Lakes.
