The PHILIP WALTER was built in 1872 by Lewis H. Jackson at Sandusky, OH U.S. The Philip Walter is a wood hulled steamer with a length of 94 feet, and a width of 21 feet. It displaces 102 tons, and has a load capacity of 51 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Capsized between Marblehead and Cleveland, on June 20, 1887, 8 lives lost.
