Description: The H.B. HAWGOOD was built in 1903 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The H.B. Hawgood is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 414 feet, and a width of 50 feet. It displaces 4655 tons, and has a load capacity of 3386 tons. It entered service in the year 1903 under the ownership of Acme Transit Co. (H.A. Hawgood & Co., Mgrs.) of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Scrapped by Steel Co. of Canada, Ltd., Hamilton, Ont., in 1946. After lying at Erie, PA, passed down, Port Colborne, October 16, 1946, in tow of tugs TOWMASTER & A.M. MCAULEY, bound for Hamilton, Ont. The photograph shows the H.B.
