The VULCAN was built in 1889 by Globe Iron Works at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Vulcan is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 260 feet, and a width of 38 feet. It displaces 1759 tons, and has a load capacity of 1366 tons. It entered service in the year 1889 under the ownership of Lorain Steamship Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Scrapped at Sorel, P.Q., in 1944-1945.
