The C. HICKOX was built in 1873 by Henry D. Root at Black River (Lorain), OH U.S. The C. Hickox is a wood hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 130 feet, and a width of 24 feet. It displaces 314 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Burned off Main Duck Island, Lake Ontario, December 4, 1906, bound from Oswego, NY, for Belleville, Ontario, with cargo of coal.
