The JUNIATA was built in 1905 by American Ship Building Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Juniata is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 346 feet, and a width of 45 feet. It displaces 4333 tons, and has a load capacity of 2619 tons. It entered service in the year 1990 under the ownership of City of Hammond, IN of Hammond, IN U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Retired from service in 1970. The photograph shows the Juniata under way on the Great Lakes.
