dc.description The RACINE was built in 1914 by Great Lakes Towing Co. at Cleveland, OH U.S. The Racine is a steel hulled tug with a length of 68 feet, and a width of 17 feet. It displaces 65 tons, and has a load capacity of 31 tons. It entered service in the year 1914 under the ownership of Great Lakes Towing Co. of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Last registered in 1978. The photograph shows the Racine under way on the Great Lakes.
