Description: The ERWIN L. FISHER was built in 1910 by Toledo Shipbuilding Co. at Toledo, OH U.S. The Erwin L. Fisher is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 220 feet, and a width of 40 feet. It displaces 1184 tons, and has a load capacity of 805 tons. It entered service in the year 1910 under the ownership of Argo Steamship Co. (E.L. Fisher, Mgr.) of Cleveland, OH U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: On first trip as sand dredge, foundered six miles north of Dunkirk, NY, Lake Erie, on July 29, 1930; fifteen lives lost.
