The YN-24 (HAZEL) was built in 1941 by American Ship Building Co. at Lorain, OH U.S. The Yn-24 (Hazel) is a steel hulled propeller driven vessel with a length of 163 feet, and a width of 30 feet. It entered service in the year 1941 under the ownership of U.S. Navy of Washington, DC U.S. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Sold on January 23, 1974, to Boston Metals Co., Baltimore, MD, for $17,666.66, for scrapping.
