The WILLIAM E. ROONEY was built in 1873 by Thomas Brace at Toledo, OH U.S. The William E. Rooney is a wood hulled tug with a length of 40 feet, and a width of 12 feet. It displaces 11 tons, and has a load capacity of 5 tons. The vessel was removed from service with the following notation: Dropped from Canadian List of Shipping in 1942.
